Reports have thirteen tables and seven charts. This page says what each one shows and how it is calculated. How to build a report and export it is explained in Reports.
Tables
| Table | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Summary | One row per device for the period: mileage in trips and by the odometer, the number of trips, parking periods and stops and their time, the maximum and average speed, time with the ignition on, engine hours from the sensor, the share of time online and the number of connection losses, geofence visits, speeding and device alarms. |
| Trips | Each trip as a row: start and end, duration, where it started and where it ended, mileage by GPS and by the odometer, the maximum and average speed. |
| Parking | The vehicle stands with the ignition off: start, end, duration and place. For a device that does not report the ignition, all stops go here. |
| Stops | The vehicle stands with the ignition on, that is, idling. Only for devices that report the ignition. |
| Engine hours | Intervals with the ignition on: how much of them was driving and how much idling, mileage, speed. For devices with an engine hours sensor, also its readings at the start and at the end. |
| Speeding | Speed above the template’s threshold (90 km/h by default) for longer than the set time (10 seconds by default): when, where, the maximum and average speed. |
| Violations | One log from three sources: exceeding the speed threshold, alarms from the device itself and geofence events (speeding in a zone, long stay, long absence). |
| Geofences | Geofence visits: entry, exit, duration, mileage and parking inside. Calculated from the track points, so two entries a few minutes apart are both visible. |
| Trips between geofences | Leaving one geofence and entering another: the route, the time on the way, mileage, stops along the road. |
| Missed geofences | Geofences the device did not enter even once during the period. |
| Connection losses | When the device was offline, for two minutes or longer, and where it was before the drop. |
| Trace | The track points themselves: time, speed, coordinates, satellites, odometer, ignition, voltage. Up to 5,000 points on the screen, thinned out; CSV exports the full series of up to 50,000 rows. |
| Latest data | What the device reported last: time, place, speed, odometer, engine hours, voltage and whether it is online now. The period is not taken into account here. |
Some columns are hidden by default (for example, the coordinates next to the place caption): they are turned on in the template settings.
Trip, stop, parking
These three states are counted the same way as on the timeline in Assets: faster than 3 km/h is a trip, a vehicle standing with the ignition on is a stop, with the ignition off it is parking. A stretch shorter than two minutes does not count as a state. Connection drops do not cut a trip: the points the device sends from memory fall at their real time.
Mileage in trips is calculated from the track points; coordinate jumps faster than 200 km/h and connection gaps do not count towards it. Mileage by the odometer comes from the device’s readings, if it sends them.
Charts
| Chart | Where the data comes from |
|---|---|
| Speed, km/h | The speed at the track points |
| Altitude, m | The altitude from the satellites |
| Satellites | How many satellites the receiver saw |
| On-board voltage, V | Navtelecom devices and others that report it |
| Engine hours (sensor), h | Devices with an engine hours sensor |
| Fuel via CAN, % | The fuel level from the vehicle’s CAN bus |
| Fuel sensor No. 1, level, % | A fuel level sensor without calibration, so in percent rather than litres |
Each chart has a line per device; clicking a caption in the legend hides the device. If the connection was lost for a long time, the line breaks rather than running straight through a silent night.
Template and table parameters
- The speed limit and the minimum speeding duration: shared by the “Speeding” and “Violations” tables and by the summary columns.
- Geofences and buildings as addresses: label the “Location” column with the name of a geofence or building.
- The minimum duration of a row (60 seconds by default): short intervals do not go into the table.
- The “Total” row and row numbering.
- Group by day: the day boundary follows your time zone, and each day has its own total.
- Geofences: all intervals, only those started in a geofence or only those outside geofences.
The summary is calculated with the same duration thresholds as the tables, so the number of trips in the summary matches the number of rows in “Trips”.
