Video from a site on 4G without a public IP
The site cameras are visible in the browser even though the modem’s address changes with the carrier.
Situation
A site behind a 4G modem: the address is private and keeps changing, and there are no inbound connections at all. The usual “forward a port to the recorder” approach is impossible here.
What we did
We installed a trunk. It found the cameras via ONVIF and sends the video to the server by itself. The server accepts the stream by key rather than by address, so the box can be moved and reconnected without touching the settings.
Outcome
The site cameras are on the shared video wall, checked every 30 seconds, with Telegram alerts when one goes down.
