Product overview
The Smart Gate checkpoint wall

Smart Gate: the barrier opens by number plate, and the checkpoint keeps working without the internet.

How it works
The barrier opens by number plate

Smart Gate: the barrier opens by number plate

Number plate recognition at entry and exit, allow and block lists, a passage log with frames. Works with ordinary IP cameras and with ready-made recognition cameras via a webhook. If the internet drops, the checkpoint keeps letting your vehicles in.

Waiting for a vehicle

Checkpoint mode

Opens for the allow list.

Connection to the server

The log goes to the server straight away.

Passage log

    Features

    Three modes

Off, Observe, Auto. You can start with Observe without opening anything.

    Allow and block lists

The block list beats the allow list: a pass does not take a vehicle off the block list.

    A log with frames

Every passage has a full frame and a crop of the plate.

    Works without the internet

The checkpoint lets your vehicles in and sends the log once the connection is back.

    Any relay

Dingtian, HTTP relays, Modbus TCP or a dry run for testing.

    Third-party recognition cameras

Plates from ready-made cameras arrive via a webhook in the same log.

    How a checkpoint works

Decisions are made on site, not in the cloud

The camera watches the entrance, the recognition unit reads the plate and drives the relay. The server keeps the log with frames and the pass lists, but the barrier does not depend on it.

Smart Gate checkpoint diagram: the camera, recognition unit and relay are on site; the server receives the log and sends out the lists On site: works even without internet IP camera RTSP Recognition unit lists and log on site open Relay Barrier Panopticum server log with frames, lists, alerts the log is sent when there is a connection Checkpoint modes Off Observe: “would open” Automatic by the lists

    Observe first

A new checkpoint starts in “Observe” mode: for a week you review the log with its “would have opened” marks, and only then switch on automatic mode.

The block list beats the allow list

A pass does not take a vehicle off the block list, and a plate read with low confidence does not open the barrier.

    Frame and plate crop

Every passage has the full frame and a crop of the plate: you can see exactly what the system read.

A wall of checkpoints and a card for each

All checkpoints on one screen with the latest passage. Each checkpoint’s card has live video, the mode, the log, passes and relay settings.

    • Russian GOST plates, including those with a three-digit region code
    • The plate must be at least 120 pixels wide in the frame: this is the rule for installation
    • Dingtian, HTTP or Modbus TCP relays, or a dry run
    • Hikvision and Dahua ANPR cameras via webhook

    Frequently asked questions

What happens if the internet goes down?
The recognition unit sits on site and keeps working from the lists. The log builds up and is sent once the connection is back.
    Will our cameras work?
Any ordinary IP camera with RTSP will do. If you already have recognition cameras, their plates can be received via a webhook.
Which plates does the system read?
Russian plates to the GOST standard, including those with a three-digit region.
Can I start without opening the barrier?
Yes. In “Observe” mode, plates go into the log marked “would have opened”, and the barrier is not touched.
